Famous (or is it infamous?) for its young female servers in short shorts and chicken wings, Hooters has a range of special deals throughout the week.

Every weekday features half-price appetizers from 4-6pm. This includes Quesadillas, Onion Rings, Cheese Sticks, Chicken Strips and other items. Appetizers are also half-price every day (not just weekdays) the last two hours of business each day. This is typically from 10-midnight.

There is also a daily draft special where 99 cents gets you a 10 oz. serving, $2.50 gets you 23 oz., and $5.99 gets you a pitcher. The draft special will change according to the following schedule:

Mon - Coors Light

Tues- Miller Lite

Wed - Miller Lite

Thurs - Miller Lite

Fri - Miller Lite

Sat - Bud/Bud Lite

Sun - Coors Light

Combine the two deals and you're looking to easily get filled and quenched for $3-$5 a person.

For those not into the cheaper domestics, there is a Blue Moon special ($1.99/10 oz; $3.99/23 oz.; $8.99/pitcher) deal on Sunday and Monday.

When it comes to lunchtime, Hooters has a weekday $5.99 Lunch Special where one can choose from a Grilled Chicken Caeser Salad; a Grilled Chicken Sandwich; Ten Wings; or a Hamburger. There is also an option to add Fries and a beverage for $2. Available 11AM-2PM.

For those with a real appetite, there's the Tuesday night All-You-Can-Eat Wings special for $9.99. The first serving comes as ten wings and includes a free serving of curly fries. Additional servings are in increments of five and can be ordered in any sauce you like. Considering that the normal price for ten wings and fries is almost $11.50 you already start off ahead with the first order. Available 6PM to close.

Wednesday features a all-day Boneless Wing and Fries deal for $5.99. Normal price is $12.00. The portion size is definitely large enough to leave you satisfied.

Thursday has the only other food-related specials. Focusing on seafood you can get shrimp, crab legs, clams and oysters as follows:

1/2 lb Steamed Shrimp $5.99

1 lb. Steamed Crab Legs $7.99

50 cents Steamed Clams and Oysters (raw) on the 1/2 shell (must be ordered in multiples of 6)

I haven't had a chance to try out the seafood options yet, but the oysters seems like a decent deal.

Finally, for those of you with kids, Saturday has a Kids Eat Free All Day deal. I haven't seen the Children's Menu but it probably includes your typical hot dog, chicken strips, and hamburger options with fries.

The mall of chain restaurants that is Riverside Square features a great happy hour for those looking for a filling adventure in a comfortable, higher end setting.McCormick and Schmick's has an early and late happy hour menu in their bar area with food and drink specials.

Walking in, you can pretty much seat yourself at an available booth, table, or at the bar. Arrive early for the first session and you might the only ones there. Later on, you might have to wait for a seat.

As might be expected for a cheaper menu, service will not be the fastest, so order ahead with some planning especially if you are approaching the end of a happy hour session - good luck trying to flag down a waitress at 6:25PM to put in a last order.

Food items such as a 1/2 pound cheeseburger w/ French fries and Cheese Quesadilla are a great value at $2.95 and $1.95 respectively. Other items vary. The seafood dishes will be tasty but are much smaller and less filling. The Asian-inspired dishes are typically small and unappealing, so you'll probably want to skip those.

Draft beers/bottles will run the typical range of $5-$6, though a domestic draft beer special for $3 is usually available as well.

There is a $3.50 drink minimum per person.
